#GivingTuesdayCLE with The Fair Housing Center
The Fair Housing Center for Rights & Research was established in 1983 as a grassroots coalition of local civil rights advocates, and has significantly grown and expanded since its inception. However, The Fair Housing Center remains committed to its mission and offers a range of free services to tenants, landlords, real estate professionals, and social service providers in the Greater Cleveland area. The agency's fair housing advocates help hundreds of Northeast Ohioans each year who have experienced the devastating effects of housing discrimination. The Fair Housing Center also regularly publishes reports on housing and lending trends in the region, including the annual State of Fair Housing in Northeast Ohio report. In addition, the team works year-round to facilitate fair housing law seminars for a range of audiences across the region in order to increase awareness of fair housing rights and responsibilities, and work to affirmatively further fair housing.
Through this work, the Fair Housing Center for Rights & Research fulfills its mission of protecting and expanding fair housing rights, eliminating housing discrimination, and promoting integrated communities.
